The big fashion trend that emerged was the white dress and the red gown, both popular choices among the Hollywood A-listers. Asymmetric sleeves, peplum and a clearly defined waist line were among the other big styles of the day.
As for accessories, it was gold that made news as fabric motifs and diamond chokers took centrestage instead of the long necklaces of previous seasons.
Beauty wise, the red lip and black nail varnish were the most popular, but the other interesting trends that caught the eye were Octavia Spencer's smoky eye look, Jessica Chastain's nude lipstick and Gwyneth Paltrow's gold eye shadow. Popular hairstyles ranged from the buns, fringes, the neat side braids and the interesting use of waves and curls. The style message of the looks seemed to be all about playing down everything except the dresses they were wearing.
So, if you are planning your look for the wedding season or for any important social dos, try the buns or the bangs for your hair and pick up white ensembles which are hot and happening and perfect for the summer months too.
