The finale had the kind of buzz we see at a Denis Gagnon show. It was packed to the gills and the cool kids were out in droves. Across from me, a guy in Mickey Mouse ears was getting attention. Elsewhere, one guy wore a foreboding Stetson, or perhaps it was a Boss of the Plains (I had to visit Wikipedia for that one); a woman wore dangerously spiked boots, the most extreme I have ever seen. Black reigned, naturally.
The seating had been rearranged, and the lighting was dark, too, to the photographers’ dismay. Darkest of all was the eye makeup on the models: way beyond smoky to the point of ghoulish I am sorry to say.
First up was Lomonova. Lomonova’s bustier gowns are astounding, and she intends to offer them only as made to measure. Too bad some of the bustiers did not fit the models. She said there was a problem with the mannequin she used, but the models were indeed super skinny with no breasts.
Yet I can’t help hoping she develops her draped pieces for a more ready-to-wear offering. The progression from last season’s breakout collection was promising, and like that little black dress I loved, the more flowing draped pieces are just the kind of thing women love to wear, as tunics with leggings, or longer for versatile and flattering cocktail wear.

I have frighteningly bony shoulders. As a fruit, my clothes never be as one decorously on them, and I end up flashing half the post when my shirt slides down too far.
Well, those days are over. The ever-fashion-brilliant Kristi recommended I pick up fashion tape. I was skeptical. I have in the final analysis volatile graze. (See: adhesive bra debacle of 1999.)
