North Bend woman opens floral and design business

First and foremost, Lynda Cerny is a florist.

Like typical businesses in small towns, though, Floral Creations N' D'Signs at 130 W. Seventh St. in North Bend, wears many hats.

"When I answer the phone I say, ‘Floral Creations,' but the reason I added N' D'Signs to the name is because I have a vinyl cutter and I can do wall work and signage," she said.

Crafts, scrapbooking, gift items, home decor and a tea room add to the diversity that is common among North Bend businesses, she said.

"We try to offer many things so people can come in and find gifts and do things," she said. "Ron's Pharmacy in town has real nice giftware and a lot of collectibles, so we're trying to carry things that Ron's doesn't carry. We kind of work together so we don't copy each other.

"The biggest thing is we are a flower shop, so we do all kinds of flowers," Cerny said. "We do everyday bouquets, birthdays bouquets, funerals and weddings. We try to cover all types of floral needs. We do fresh, silk, and dried flower arrangements.
