In an effort to help brides find the perfect gown at the perfect price, Goodwill Industries of Southern N.J. and Philadelphia is hosting its 4th annual Valentine’s Bridal Sale Extravaganza at the Pennsauken Retail Store on Feb. 11.
Juli Lundberg, public relations manager at Goodwill Industries of Southern N.J. and Philadelphia, said the event began when the economy started to fall.
“It has grown exponentially,” she said.
When the idea first developed, Lundberg found a Goodwill organization in Florida that held a similar event every year.
“We get a lot of gowns donated,” she said. “Then we started reaching out to bridal shops, asking for floor samples and left-over dresses, because after each season, they get rid of the previous season’s dresses.”
