It's the season for brides, and one southeast Wisconsin store is offering an amazing deal with proceeds that will benefit the community.
Bridal shop offers dresses to cheated brides
PROVIDENCE, RI -- A bit of silver lining for brides-to-be who have a wedding date but no dress, at Ana’s Bridal in East Providence, the owner is offering to help with rush orders and other details for brides who have filed complaints with Cinderella Bridal Salon of West Warwick.
New numbers released from the Attorney General’s office show approximately 50 consumer complaints against the store and now thanks to a court order, a receiver has been assigned to handle the case.
“It’s generally a pretty serious situation when you have a receiver come in. A receiver is like a bankruptcy trustee on the state side,” said Matthew McGowan, the temporary receiver.
The receiver’s job will be to sort through complaints and try to resolve cases.
“We heard from quite a few brides-to-be today and we understand their anxiety and we will do our best to be fair and equitable with everybody and to work as quickly as we can,” said McGowan.
