Channel 4 bosses pulled off a bridal stunt in London last week to celebrate the launch of the new series of My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding. The show bosses sent a model out on the streets of London dressed in a 12 stone pink wedding dress designed by the bridal designer to the travellers, Thelma Madden.
The “gypsy bride” was transported in a pink limo to complete the gypsy wedding theme, but instead of being dropped off at the church, this pretend bride was left loose on the street of London much to the confusion of the onlookers in the city. The chauffeur driven limousine transported the gypsy-fied bride to iconic London landmarks throughout the city including London Bridge, Waterloo Station and Westminster Abbey.
The giant pink bridal gown certainly did the trick in terms of attracting attention. The pink meringue dress was decorated all over with hundreds of Swarovski crystals and a butterfly design on the bodice, with the gown’s volume boosted to the max with the use of six underskirts.
