…” Last week, in Belize, Ben shocked audiences with the elimination of Emily although the goodbye to Rachel was expected. Courtney is getting even more demonstrative in her pursuit of Ben as she clearly is in this to win it, making it seem like this is a contest and not the pursuit of love. Several of the women informed Ben there seems to be ulterior motives behind Courtney’s claim and she acts completely different behind his back but it was to no avail as she was willing (and able) to pull the wool over his eyes once more during the rose ceremony.Tonight, Ben travels to each of the remaining bachelorettes hometowns to meet parents and get grilled over intentions. Whose parents does he win over and whose toss him to the abyss? Who sheds tears and who sheds clothing (isn’t this what we would expect from black widow Courtney)? This is how it all went down~
The first hometown is Ocala, Florida where Margi and Harry Cox live. They are the parents of Lindzi and own a horse ranch. Lindzi Cox is on the race track when Ben arrives and meets him, telling him she has a carriage ride planned which they take to a picnic. She reveals she is feeling vulnerable and tells him a little more about her past relationship and breakup. They head back to the main house which is “over the river and through the woods!” Not really, but it sounded cool on the show! Lindzi introduces Ben as her boyfriend to her parents which makes him officially the only second male to ever be brought home. As they talk about what has happened on the show, her parents tell the two they were married at the San Francisco City Hall which is where Ben and Lindzi had their first date. It’s a sign! Harry tells Ben it is tradition to hold a carriage race at the Cox’s house, but tells him there has to be “trash” talk. The race is on and Lindzi and Ben are leading until the turn when her parents take the lead to win . The losers have to pull the winners back to the house in the winning carriage. How hometown is that? Lindzi talks to her mom who is worried about her getting her heart broken if he chooses another but really likes him. Ben asks Margi is she feels Lindzi is ready to be engaged and she replies “Yes.” Harry tells Ben he would be honored to have him as a son-in-law at the campfire after he tells Lindzi he really likes this guy. Not too much pressure! Love, love, love this family and they seems so custom-fitted. Will Lindzi be the one accepting the final rose? Time will tell!
